ACADEMICS

Educato Academy
Our Curriculum is CAPS aligned and meets a higher level of education.

Our curriculum incorporates the requirements of the CAPS curriculum and will enable us to focus on individual education and provide a learning environment where our learners have the opportunity to grow and develop at their own pace and achieve their full potential at each stage of their development.

In the foundation phase the nine learning areas:

Life Orientation, Social Sciences, Economic Management Sciences, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Arts and Culture, Technology, English Home Language and Afrikaans First Additional Language are organised into three learning programmes: Literacy (English Home Language and Afrikaans First Additional Language), Numeracy (Mathematics), Life Skills (Life Orientation).

The learning outcomes and assessment standards of the other six learning areas are planned, taught and assessed in an integrated way within the three learning programmes, and are not recorded separately.

Literacy
is the cornerstone of educational development.
Learning to read and write in the first years of primary school is critical for acquiring success in future grades.
Here at Educato Academy we embrace individual education as it cultivates self confidence and independent thinking in our learners. It will play a fundamental role  in securing the advancement of your child's literary skills.
Numeracy
is crucial in the early years of learning as it develops mental discipline, emboldens logical thinking and strengthens mental tenacity.

Educato Academy encourages mathematical thinking as it is critical in problem solving and progressing the understanding of other academic subjects and professional disciplines.
Life Skills
provide children with significant tools for development, such as socializing, making new friends, and how to react in situations of conflict where their parents or teachers may not be around to intervene.

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Proverbs 22:6
